Our Team

Fraser Hill, Principal

Fraser has over 20 years experience as an educator and 13 years in senior leadership roles in various schools. For the past 6 years he has been the Principal of Swannanoa School, a semi-rural full primary school in North Canterbury.

He is passionate about education and leading schools that aim to realise the potential of the students within them.  Fraser starts in his role at RJHS at the start of June and looks forward to meeting prospective students, parents/caregivers and members of the wider community.

Paula Wine, Deputy Principal

Paula has over 20 years experience as an educator and 14 years in leadership roles in various schools. For the past 8 years she has been the Assistant Principal of Te Totara Primary School. 

Paula is passionate about leading teaching and learning, with a special interest in Science and Mathematics.  She is keen to work with students, staff, and the community to develop a positive and supportive school culture where students are engaged and excited about learning.

Melissa Moore, Deputy Principal
 
Melissa has taught for over 13 years at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls and is an accomplished teacher of science.  She has held leadership roles as a leader in the area of ICT integration, as Acting DP and Teacher in Charge of Biology.

Melissa is a keen 'tweeter'  and has a strong network of innovative educators she is connected with and takes inspiration from. She is excited about being part of establishing a new school that gives our learners every opportunity for success in a rapidly changing world.


Anna Pratt, Learning Leader

Anna has 10 years experience in education.  She has experience across the levels, including up to Year 8 but has spent the past 6 years at Te Totara Primary School as a teacher and team leader in Year 1.

Anna is particularly passionate about modern learning initiatives and continuing to build positive, empowering relationships with our students, staff and community to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners.


Besides teaching, Anna is mum to 4 children and enjoys Photography, Maori Language, Technology and The Arts. She really looks forward to sharing and developing these skills especially, with our learners.


Sandra Silcock, Learning Leader

Prior to teaching Sandra worked in the Information Technology industry and early on in her career she was exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging experiences that have been invaluable in shaping her as a Digital Technologies teacher. She really enjoys computer science and loves to have fun with robotics and programming. She also enjoys Martial Arts training such as Taekidokai.

Sandra is really looking forward to building positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community. She is passionate about all kinds of technology and feels very privileged to be able to play her part in coming up with exciting challenges and learning experiences for the students of Rototuna Junior High School.


Bryce Clapham, Learning Leader

Bryce is currently working at Hobsonville Point Secondary School as a Leader of Team Learning and as a Health, Physical education and Outdoor education specialist teacher.

Bryce is excited about the way in which modern learning focuses on creating a learner centred environment based around building strong relationships.  He is passionate and excited by the movements that are occurring in the education sector and looks forward to contributing his ideas to the developments at Rototuna Junior High.


Beyond the classroom Bryce enjoys spending time with his young family.
